One of students' favorite parts of Reading Workshop is reading with a friend! Right now students are remember ing to sit knee to knee with one book in between them.
Students will participate in play-based centers everyday. As they do, my hope is that they will become more independent, and further develop their critical thinking, and social skills.
Welcome 2018-2019 Kinderfamilies!! I will try to post pictures of what we are doing in and out (i.e. field trips) of the classroom as often as possible. I hope that you enjoy!

All About Mrs. SpidleHello Nathaniel Morton families! My name is Mrs. Spidle and this is my third year teaching at Nathaniel Morton Elementary. Before I joined the fabulous team at NMES, I taught first grade at Federal Furnace for three years and kindergarten for six years at Sacred Heart. I love working with children and believe in cementing their love for learning at a young age. I have an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in reading education. As an early childhood educator, I love teaching all subjects, but my first love is reading! I believe in cultivating a love of reading in all of my students. I love to read, and am on a mission to have a community of motivated readers in my classroom! Archives
