In December students learned about holidays celebrated around the world. Students read books, and created art projects about Las Posados which is celebrated in Mexico, The Feast of St. Lucia which is celebrated in the countries of Scandinavia, as well as Hanukkah and Christmas. Students were also lucky enough to enjoy some latkes! A big thank you to Mrs. LeCLair for sharing your cooking with First Grade!!

All About Mrs. SpidleHello Nathaniel Morton families! My name is Mrs. Spidle and this is my third year teaching at Nathaniel Morton Elementary. Before I joined the fabulous team at NMES, I taught first grade at Federal Furnace for three years and kindergarten for six years at Sacred Heart. I love working with children and believe in cementing their love for learning at a young age. I have an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in reading education. As an early childhood educator, I love teaching all subjects, but my first love is reading! I believe in cultivating a love of reading in all of my students. I love to read, and am on a mission to have a community of motivated readers in my classroom! Archives
